In this article, we introduce 5 user-friendly platforms where you can test and compare cutting-edge AI models for free. These free LLM playgrounds are helpful for writing, code generation, troubleshooting, and brainstorming.

1. Vercel AI Playground

With Vercel AI Playground, you can access top models such as Llama2, Claude2, CommandNightly, GPT-4, and even HuggingFace's open-source models. You can compare the performance of these models side by side, or chat with them like other chatbots. In addition to free access, the playground provides additional information on model context length and input/output pricing. It also provides API and page code so that you can build your own chatbot application, similar to AI Playground.

QuoraPoe is my favorite AI assistant, which I rely on every day as a data scientist to help with various tasks from generating code to summarizing papers. Its functionality seems endless. In addition to serving as my own personal assistant, QuoraPoe also allows everyone to access some of the most advanced conversational AI models. Models such as GPT-4, Claude2, Llama2, Sage, and PaLM can be explored with a simple registration. You can provide initial prompts to create personalized bots or choose from shared community bots. GPT4ALL is a free open-source AI playground that can be run locally on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers without an internet connection or GPU. 4. HuggingChat

HuggingChat is a special tool that has become my second favorite choice for generating high-quality code for my data science workflow. What makes HuggingChat even more impressive is its newest member, CodeLlama. With CodeLlama integrated into HuggingChat, solving math problems and generating highly accurate code becomes effortless. One of HuggingChat's standout features is its open-source nature. This means that the codebase is available for users to view, modify, and contribute to for free, fostering a vibrant developer community. Additionally, HuggingChat provides seamless integration with web browsers, allowing users to directly obtain results from the internet.

5. LMSys

LMSys is a Gradio-based web application that allows users to try out various open-source models such as Vicuna, Alpaca, WizardLM, MPT-Chat, LLaMA2, StableLM, and FastChat-T5. Additionally, users can compare the performance of these models, and according to the leaderboard, GPT-4 currently leads with an elo rating of 1206.
